After breakfast, you will drive to the Machame Gate to complete registration before beginning your ascent. The trek starts in the lush, humid rainforest zone, where you may spot Blue monkeys and vibrant birdlife amidst the dense vegetation. The trail leads you steadily upward to Machame Camp, your first overnight stop on the mountain. Here, you will experience your first evening of mountain camping, featuring a hot meal prepared by your trekking chef.

Today’s trek takes you out of the rainforest and into the moorland zone, characterized by giant heathers and dramatic volcanic landscapes. As you ascend toward the Shira Plateau, the forest thins out, offering your first breathtaking views of Kibo Peak in the distance. This section is vital for acclimatization as you cross high ridges before settling into Shira Camp for the night. You will enjoy a sunset over the clouds and a clear view of the mountain's rugged beauty.

Following the principle of "climb high, sleep low," you will trek toward the Lava Tower (4,630m) for lunch and acclimatization. The terrain becomes a semi-desert of rocks and scree, offering a true alpine experience. After reaching the tower, you will descend into the beautiful Barranco Valley, famous for its unique Senecio trees. This descent helps your body adjust to the altitude before you spend the night at Barranco Camp, nestled beneath the Great Barranco Wall.

The final leg of your trek takes you back through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you will sign out and receive your official gold summit certificates. You will be met by your driver and transferred back to Arusha for much-needed recovery. Refreshed from your mountain trek, you will head to Tarangire National Park to begin your wildlife adventure. Known as the "Elephant Kingdom," Tarangire is home to massive herds of elephants and stunning baobab trees that dominate the horizon. You will spend the day on game drives tracking lions, leopards, and zebras, eventually settling into a luxury safari lodge near the park to enjoy your first evening in the Tanzanian bush.

Today you travel across the Great Rift Valley and into the legendary Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands before the "endless plains" of the Serengeti open up before you. This entire day is dedicated to exploring the vast Serengeti ecosystem. Your expert guide will track the Big Five and follow the seasonal movements of the Great Migration herds.
