DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
On arrival you will meet our specialized tour guide driver who will give you a short briefing about Tanzania, and then he will drive you to a quite environment hotel/ lodge for your dinner and overnight. If you arrived at night, in the morning company representative will come to meet you in hotel for briefing about your safari and your stay in Tanzania before you start your drive for safari.
DAY 2: ARUSHA-TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning after breakfast you will start a safari toward Tarangire national park. Tarangire National Park is located approximately 110 km Southwest of Arusha about two hours’ drive, covering an area of approximately 2,850 km2. This park is best place to visit for elephant lovers; it is commonly known as ''The Palace of Elephant'' if you are lucky you can see more than 500 elephants in their group.
During the dry season from June to October, the park has a particularly high concentration of wildlife, as prey comes to search for water and pasture along the mighty Tarangire River and predator follow them for hunting hence will be easy to see different animals which are coming from their hiding places from bushes, you will enjoy the predator hunting, good view and photo taking. Also, this park is an ornithologist’s paradise offering shelter to more than 300 species of birds, including the largest bird in the world, rare spotted species, the ostrich and the heaviest bird that can fly, the Kori Bustard.
During game drive lions, buffalos, cheetahs, wild dogs, wildebeests, leopards to zebra, gazelles and many more animals can be seen. The best game viewing months are between July and December. During this time thousands of animals, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, eland, hartebeests, kudus, Wildebeests and the rarely seen Oryx, migrate from the dry Maassai Steppe to the Tarangire River looking for water, but for bird viewing it is best to come between October and May. Lunch boxes will be given during the game drive. In the late evening you will drive to Mto wa Mbu for diner and overnight.
DAY 3: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK-MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Around 8:00 am in the morning after breakfast your driver guide will meet you to start a safari to Manyara National park, on the way you will have a time to visit local market for curios and souvenir (optional if you will be interested). The park is located 126 kilometers from Arusha town, and covers a total of 330 square kilometers; it is accessible throughout the year depending on clients’ option. The Park is set in a natural Crater, creating a beautiful environment for Safari. The park attracts a lot of visitors due to it being the natural habitat of many different species of beautiful birds over 400 species living in the park who spend their days searching for food from shore of Lake Manyara.
Apart from birds, also there are many animals that inhabit the park including Lion, Leopards, Elephants, Buffalos, Baboons, Zebra’s, and many other herbivores. Hot spring water makes the park more unique; water comes up from the ground bubbling, and they flow all year round in all seasons
Within the park you will enjoy lions which climbing on trees, this can only be seen in Lake Manyara National Park. Climbing trees was an adaptive behavior due to wet land allover the time within the park which destroyed lion's nails hence force lion to climb on trees to escarp the problem. After whole day game drive you will be taken to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: MANYARA NATIONAL PARK- SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti national park is among World Heritage Sites and Biosphere Reserves. It is famous and common known as endless plain where the largest plain land is found, within the plain if you are lucky you will see all big five animals. Predators like lion and leopard get enough time to chase prays because of the available enough land space hence you will get a time to spot animal hunting and predator ambush. Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. On the way you will pass the Great Rift Valley, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the crater rim with a short stop on top at the Prof. Grzimek memorial with a spectacular view down into the crater. You will visit a Maasai boma and Olduvai/Oldupai gorge where there is a world human history man Zinjanthropus. Golden-manned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains but rarely seen. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat. Lunch Boxes will be served at Naabi Gate. In the late evening you will arrive in your luxury tented camps for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After your early morning breakfast you will start a morning game drive, you will see great Migration of wildebeest within the park (wildebeest migration) crossing the Mara River. The migrations contain more than two hundred thousand wildebeest and other animals like zebra, impala and bird species. Wildebeest uses zebra as their watchman because zebra has good eye focusing ability where they can focus the predator at the very long distance and give the sign to wildebeest for the protection. Also within the group Impala they don't stay away because they get protection as lion will hunt wildebeest rather than impala and make them remain safe. In symbiotic relationship bird species are beneficial to wildebeest as they take ticks which sting them. Great Migration of wildebeest will make your safari unexplainable and unforgettable, hot lunch box will be given during game drive. Optional balloon safari can be conducted in this day with special request where you will see wildebeest migration from the top on your balloon. At late evening you will be taken to luxury tented campsite for rest and dinner
DAY 6: IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning you will do game drive in the Serengeti to meet nocturnal get back home from hunting. The Serengeti is rich in its diversity of landscape. You will return to your lodge for hot lunch during the afternoon. Between the open plains of the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara, thousands of wildebeests and zebras migrate to greener pastures as the seasons change and the circle of life and death continues. Predators follow the Wildebeest Migration closely, waiting for an opportunity to strike weak prey as they make their way into different territories. The precise timing of the Wildebeest Migration changes annually and is a very unpredictable and spontaneous natural event. At late evening you will be taken to luxury tented campsite for rest and dinner
DAY 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK - NGORONGORO CRATER - ZANZIBAR
n the morning you will leave the Serengeti towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area for Ngorongoro Crater tour. The Ngorongoro crater is known as hole of God. You will get a time to see the big Crater and the largest unbroken caldera in the world. This protected area stretches from Lake Natron (the breeding ground for East Africa’s flamingos) in the Northeast, to Lake Eyasi in the South, and Lake Manyara to the East). Olduvai Gorge and the Ngorongoro Crater, has been described as one of the great natural wonders of the world. Eight million years ago, the Ngorongoro Crater was an active volcano but its cone collapsed, forming the crater that is 610 meters deep, 20 kilometers in diameter, and covers an area of 250 km2. Different large animals including some of the Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos the most vulnerable animals in the world are found inside the crater. You descend to the crater floor for a spectacular game viewing. Most of the animals stay in the crater year around, because water supplies never dry out. You will find hippos, hyena, jackal, cheetah, lions, ostrich, elephants, warthog, eland and hartebeests there, as well as huge herds of Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles. Even leopards find their home in the trees and forests, surrounding the crater, but are rarely seen. The landscape around the Crater the “Ngorongoro Conservation Area” is made famous by large herds of giraffes and the migration of wildebeest, zebras, eland and endless numbers of gazelles from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and back each year. Lunch will be served at the hippos’ lake before ascending to Arusha airport where you will check in for your flight to Zanzibar.
Upon your arrival in Zanzibar you will meet our team representative who will give you a short brief about Zanzibar, their culture, norms and traditions and you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Zanzibar is more famous as the spice Island due to its good smell of cloves which smells in the country. It is most attractive with comfortable beaches with good sunset view. In the morning you will have a city tour to experience local culture of Zanzibarian, in afternoon you will go back to your hotel for lunch. At the afternoon you will get to enjoy the coastal life experience by visiting local area, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 9. CITY TOUR IN ZANZIBAR
There are optional activities, which can be done on these days, if you are interested you can visit cloves plantation, sea diving or dolphin tour. Not only that but also you can visit Ngome Kongwe and Stone town where you can enjoy traditional dances and songs. At late evening you will go to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Zanzibar has got a beautiful white sand clean beach where you will enjoy sunrise and sunset at the beach with wind from the sea. You will stay at the beach the whole day memorizing you safari and looking the photo you took during the safari. According to the flight times of your international departure, you will be transferred to Kisauni Airport already to take your flight to your home country.
